About Drew

Thank you for taking the time to check out my portfolio! I am a junior pursuing a BS/MS degree in mechanical engineering at Northwestern University. Originally from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, I wanted to learn in an environment where students come from many different backgrounds, while challenging myself to solve complex problems. I'm most interested in the analysis of systems and how that analysis is used to improve performance or efficiency.

Over time I've realized that the most valuable thing I've gained from studying engineering isn't any specific formula or concept, but rather the process of learning itself. Tools, technologies, and industries all evolve rapidly, and the ability to teach yourself something new is far more powerful than any static skillset. Through the projects and hobbies showcased on this website, I've learned how to break down unfamiliar problems, search for patterns, and iterate towards a solution even if I don't know the answer from the start. No matter the challenge or field, I'll be able to take this mindset with me to meaningfully contribute.
